# Organise your alarms Use the list to switch alarms on or off and edit them. Press and hold a row to see **Edit**, **Delete** and **Reorganize**. ## Read the alarm list Each row shows the time, name and days. The repeat symbol means the alarm is set to repeat weekly. ![English alarm list with enabled alarms and a grey disabled alarm.](https://alarmclock.adrianillo.name/manual/assets/screenshots/en/list.png) A disabled alarm is grey and its clock has no red bells. ## Switch an alarm on or off Tap the **clock icon** on the right of its row. Switching an alarm off keeps its settings, but it will not ring while it is disabled. To use it again, tap the clock and check the next date. If Android asks for scheduling access, follow the prompt, then check that the alarm is enabled. ## Edit an alarm Tap its time or name, make your changes and tap **Save**. Remember that **saving switches the alarm on**, even if it was previously disabled. ## Change the order 1. Press and hold an alarm, then choose **Reorganize**. 2. Drag the handles to put the rows where you want them. 3. Tap **Done** or press Back to finish. You can also tap a handle to see **Move up** and **Move down**. Reordering only changes the list layout; it does not change alarm times or schedules. ![English alarm list in Reorganize mode, showing drag handles beside the rows and the Done button.](https://alarmclock.adrianillo.name/manual/assets/screenshots/en/reorder.png) Drag the handles to change the order. Tap Done to return to the normal list. ## See how long until your next alarm From the start of the list, **swipe your finger down** to reveal the **Next alarm in** panel just above your alarms. The panel shows the time remaining and, underneath, the day, time and name of the next alarm. It includes enabled alarms and alarms you have snoozed. The first row is not necessarily the next alarm to ring: you choose the order of the list. ![Next alarm in panel above the English alarm list, showing the time remaining, alarm time and name.](https://alarmclock.adrianillo.name/manual/assets/screenshots/en/next-alarm.png) Pull down from the start of the list to see how long is left. There is no need to open the editor. Swipe your finger up to return to the list. The panel is absent when there is no pending alarm, and it stays hidden while you are reorganising. ## Delete an alarm Press and hold its row, choose **Delete** and confirm. You can also find the delete action at the bottom of the editor for an existing alarm. > Taking a few days off? Switch the alarm off with its clock icon. You can bring it back without setting everything up again. ## Use names you recognise “Work”, “Classes” or “Leave home” make alarms easy to tell apart. The times and names in the screenshots are examples; they are not added to your phone. --- Reviewed 22 October 2026. Updated 28 October 2026. Based on app 1.8.1.
