Something not working as expected?

Start with a test alarm a few minutes ahead. Change one thing at a time and test again with your phone locked. That makes it easier to find which setting is affecting it.

The alarm does not ring#

  1. Check that the alarm is enabled in the list and that the time and days are right.
  2. Check am / pm if you use 12-hour format.
  3. Open the alarm: choose Sound or Sound and vibration, a tone other than None and a volume you can hear. Save.
  4. Temporarily switch light control off to rule out the alarm stopping because it receives light.
  5. Review Permissions and battery, including Do Not Disturb.
  6. Make sure the phone is on. If you force-stopped the app, open it again.

It rings, but the screen does not appear#

Tap the alarm notification. Check that app notifications and the alarm category are enabled, with the latter set to High importance. On Android 14 or later, also check full-screen access.

It stops as soon as it starts#

With light control on, a change in lighting may be triggering the sensor. Lower the sensitivity or switch the control off and test again. Also check for flash reflections reaching the sensor, and actions assigned to shaking or volume keys.

Switching on the light does nothing#

Check that light control is enabled for this alarm and that you saved it. The sensor must exist, be uncovered and receive room light. Raise sensitivity gradually and test where you normally leave your phone.

If the section is disabled because a sensor is missing, use the on-screen buttons, shake control or volume keys supported by your device.

The alarm rings again after I stop it#

Check whether you chose Snooze, or set light, shake or a volume key to snooze. Also look for another alarm enabled at a nearby time. Turn off stops the current alarm; it does not remove other alarms or future days in a weekly routine.

A day is no longer active#

When Repeat Weekly is off, each selected day is used once. The alarm switches off when no dates remain. For a routine, select the days again and enable the weekly repeat.

My music file will not play#

Select it again under Alarm Tone → + ADD NEW. Check that it is still available on your phone. Try a built-in tone first to find out whether the problem is the file or the sound settings.

I cannot find Digital clock#

In settings, check that the clock type choice is visible. When it is hidden, the editor uses the default style. See Appearance and settings.

Still having trouble? You can report the problem#

I am an independent developer and maintain this app in my spare time. If you find a bug, you can email me at alarmclock@adrianillo.name. The information you send can help me investigate and improve the app, although I cannot guarantee a reply or a fix.

Read how your messages will be handled in the privacy policy.

To describe the problem, include:

  • Your phone make and model, Android version and app version.
  • The alarm time, days and repeat setting.
  • What you expected, what happened and whether the phone was locked.
  • Whether you used light, shake, flash or your own music.
  • Steps to reproduce the problem and, if useful, a screenshot without personal information.

You do not need to send your music or other personal files to explain the problem.
